This is a classic composition of three full blown roses in rich color with a densly packed ground of foliage in many colors of clear and tawny green. There is a gentle earthyness to the rose colors. The framing is a simple strong blue and then a softer, cooler green. Finally, the edge is decorated with granulation which adds depth and history. This piece looks like it was taken out of a Tudor estate and it will add gravitas and richness to any home. What a wedding present it would make!
